(skips around)
The day was February 17th, 2011. It was cold, rain was in the forecast, and we already had our plans changed from kayaking to wingin' it. All the Omens were bad, we just didn't realize it. So we packed up the Mitch Mobile turned up Mumford & Son's and were on the road. Down the 405 to the 101. We almost died because Dumb Mitch thought it would be funny to almost graffiti our faces on the center divider by swerving in the rain at 80mph! (Bitter still).
We decided to stop and take a hike down to Malibu Creek on the trail of the mythical Rindge Dam. The water level was high and the trail was full of Poison Oak (My biggest fear). We fooled around down there for a while - then all chose to hike up to the road and walk back to the Mitch Mobile about a half a mile. Mitch had some 'Happy Juice' by the time we got back to the car. Then Mitch put our lives into jeopardy again and drove us recklessly east onto Piuma Road. We found a cool little lookout that had a great view and some picnic tables. it was a Nice Spot, until it started pouring.
After Sanam got in the driver's seat. We made our way to Point Dume where we went in for a swim. It was very cold about 45 degrees. I had a wetsuit, but all the other Bros braved the cold water for a while. After we dried off a little, Mitch locked the car and we hiked over the rocks to make our way to Little Dume. While we were there, Dumb A** Mitch was throwing his keys up in the air to himself. He tried to throw the keys to Sanam but it was Unsuccessful. The keys - to our one and only car - stuck to his fingers and flew behind him right into the surf. After minutes of combing the beach, the keys were lost. As it started to rain, we realized that our change of clothes, shoes, socks, and shelter was all in the car, locked. After calling our lifesaver, Jasmine, we waited for her arrival in the rocks. God BLESSED us with entertainment with a lightning and thunder show over the empty Pacific Ocean. It was such a beautiful moment as some of us discussed of how death wouldn't be so bad right then (My favorite part of the day). It only lasted a moment as HAIL came down form the sky. The balls of ice struck our skin, it reminded us of our anger towards Dumb A** Mitch.
After the Hail stopped we cuddled for warmth - as only bros can do - until Jasmine arrived with the spare key. The air temperature was about 42 and still raining. Wirsch, Sanam, and Mitch had shorts and bare feet and were trying to keep warm any way they could. When Jasmine got to the beach she couldn't find exactly where we were. So we sent Wirsch, Sanam, and Mitch to run to her location. You need to know Sanam and Wircsch run faster then Mitch. Somehow we had miscommunicated where Jasmine was, Wirsch and Sanam thought she was at a different location. Mitch found Jasmine, absent Wirsch and Sanam. They picked up Marc, the car, and me, and we searched for Sanam and Wirsch. After about 45 minutes of looking with no luck, we realized we had lost the bros. It was now getting darker and colder, Mitch was jogging up and down the beach while Jasmine, Marc and I were driving up and down the coast. As I worried and about to tell the Sheriff, Marc found the lost Bros, cold and wet at the entrance to Westwards beach. (Jasmine was at entrance to Zuma). To warm up we went to Marc's jacuzzi in Malibu.
The night finished of great, with more friends meeting us up for some all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and Michael Jackson dancing on the Wii. This concluded the 'Best Day From Hell'.

I love how the Bros can turn Bummers in to great moments!
