Mr. Catalina

So it's 9:30 in the morning on a Saturday and I am sitting in class thinking, "this day sucks". So I text Josh W., "let's go to Catalina", because Brittany Hasse had given the bros 7 free tickets to use.  A couple hundred calls later, everyone is down and is meeting at Mitch's house at 12, but I (Sanam) don't get there until 1. But wait.... the boat leaves at 2,  the recommended time to arrive is at 1, and we gotta go all the way to Long Beach. Whatever. So the four of us, Josh W., Billy, Mitch, and I (Sanam) leave, hoping for the best.
We run into some traffic on the 405 and Mitch tells us that if we don't make it to the boat on time, we will be charged full price for not going. (66.50 plus tax each) Not only do we have to pay full price, but Mitch made a reservation for 6. (6 x $66.50=dumb)  And look what time it is!
So Mitch turns the pedal to the 4 cylinder medal, turns up the music, and we arrive at 1:42, when the last boarding call is at 1:45.

Mr. Australia charged us a little extra for tax, but we board and are off to Catalina.
The 3-4 ft swells gets Mitch sea sick, so he has to go to the back.
The ZOOM-ZOOM brings us to Catalina.
We arrive and realize nobody is here, nothing is open. What! it's a Saturday!

Four Hungry Bros looking for food find a Von's express and we munch on some chicken.

LOOK WHAT WE FIND ON THE FLOOR! Mitch's spare keys.(dumb guy)

So now that we are full, we go to find a trail head or to create our own. Nope...instead we just find a really cool beach club with kayaks and ziplines.
Everything was closed and the kayaks were all locked together.
We find nothing but cats, and a dead end.
We are all feeling a little bummed except Mitch- he was just happy looking at all the cats and would laugh uncontrollably every time a cat would run by (weirdo). So we decide to make the best of it and just walk a distance away from the population of 10.  We find a cool rock (compliments of Billy), enjoy some bubbly, the ocean, and the sunsetting. Wirsch sings us all a song after his bubbly is gone.

In the distance, we can see the light pollution of LA. At this point, we are all just happy enjoying each others' company, glad that we have the bros, happy to be on our rock, and we begin planning on our next trip.
Billy thinks we missed the last ferry, but, of course, we didn't, and we return to Long Beach without Mitch getting sea sick :]
We arrive back safe and happy we didn't spend the night in Catalina.
Ready for our next adventure...

-Sanam
